Building With Colour And Light

Some people DO love humanity and DO respect people. Here the designer and builder have utilized spatial relationships, angles and forms variously between each other and between these and air, to create a strong sense that you, as a participant, are valued. It’s remarkable and very beautiful.

When light hits the material above the colour is an astounding luminous gold, much like captured sunshine. This colour then blends into a coppery red as though sunset or sunrise, and continues to do so as you walk alongside. It’s mesmerising.

Above is a narrow walkway, obviously between walls of buildings, yet the space is completely altered by respecting these beautiful trees. As a result, instead of being prohibitive and dispiriting – the human overwhelmed by walls – the feeling is of upliftment and charm, and, again, respect.

Above and following are instances of the gold against a dark cloud sky. Was the sun considered for occasions such as this? By the designer, thoughtfully, absolutely.

And here this congregation of strong and subdued colour, angles and interest. The centrepiece of the design is the jutting building that imposes itself majestically like the prow of a ship.

This area has to fulfill a complicated function. It could have been a buildingscape of harsh and forbidding human denigration. Instead, it fulfills its function while providing fabulous interest.

Care and consideration of other people, of humanity. (Not just lip service or self-delusional rationalizing away of nastiness and self-interest in the pretense of something better.)

Lovely. So very appreciated, even if unaware.
