These tufts of foliage look as though they’d feel like soft animal fur.
There’s actually a lot of red in them. This makes them look warm and inviting.
Holding them up there are those trunks and branches. These strike sharply, and very light, against the blue sky. It’s always a lovely moment though especially engaging when in full sun and the air is dead still, although they do look great hurling about in the wind.
On a sunny and calm day they stand out not just for their qualities but for the more dull qualities around them: the staid and greyed Aussie bush.
So I particularly like them, and treasure the ability to see them.
